The Exhibition & Event Association of Australasia have launched a campaign to highlight that the events & exhibition industry is ready to get back to business in a controlled and COVID safe way this year.
The #expoready campaign is encouraging people to get back to live in-person exhibitions. The EEAA states “This coming together of like-minded people, whatever the industry, is not only good for business, but it’s also good for people’s mental health. The start of exhibitions can be a bringing together of business and a healing process for people to reconnect with their tribe.”

The EEAA has also released an industry-wide COVID-19 Safe Operating Framework that the industry can follow in the future with planning their events.
This framework outlines best-practice health and safety protocols that the industry can follow and incorporate with their own COVIDSafe plans to facilitate the safe return of business events.
The Framework provides over-arching principles to deliver COVID-19 Safe business events, trade and consumer shows of all sizes covering four key categories:
- Physical Distancing
- Cleaning, hygiene and environment management
- Protect & Detect
- Communication
