DID YOU KNOW?
90% of the positive feelings attendees have after visiting your booth are due to the staff!
While it is important that your display and graphics look great and captures your audiences attention, the positive feelings attendees walk away with is 90% to do with how your booth staff have engaged and interacted with them.
Are you unsure of how to ensure that attendees are walking away with that positive vibe?
It’s pretty simple really! Follow the 4 R’s.
Reaching Out – You want to attract people. A portion of this will be in the display but a lot of this will be personal presence. A smile, welcoming eyes and even body language can open the invitation to the attendee to enter your booth.
Relating – Don’t be afraid to engage in stimulating conversation. Ask open ended questions such as “What are you looking for?” “What made you come to the show?” “What sort of business are you in and what role do you play in that business?” “How can we assist you?” Questions like this will assist you to engage in conversation and can create a lead into a relationship with that company.
Reacting – Ensure that you are not trying to convey every service or product your company offers. You need to create a sharp and memorable message that will stick with the attendee.
Record – This step is often forgotten about, but is so important. You need to record what your attendee’s have spoken to you about, whether that is some of their interests, or information about their company. When you record this information you can form an understanding of what you can speak to them about when you contact them in a week or two’s time. This will also be helpful to the person who will be contacting them as they will be coming from a position of knowledge and knowledge is strength.
