It is safe to say that Skyline Displays Australia is an interesting place to work. No day is the same, each client has different needs and each employee brings a special set of skills.

Our Marketing Manager Bec has been with Skyline since early 2013. She said goodbye to the Skyline family in April of 2018 to head off to Europe for 7 months but rejoined the company upon her return in late November 2018.

Bec shared with us her tips on making an event successful, and what makes Skyline unique.

Q: What is your favourite thing about working at Skyline?
A: Definitely the people and the culture. Skyline is very much a family and we all work together to achieve success. I feel supported as a person and as a professional by the team.

Q: What does a typical day for you involve at Skyline? 
A: Every day is different because I have to look after so many different areas of marketing. Posting on Skyline’s social media channels and blog is typical daily. Other areas include research, strategy, copywriting, Sky News development, website development, graphic design and event management.

Q: What is your favourite part of your role at Skyline?
A: I am a designer by trade so I particularly love designing graphics and also writing content.

Q: What 3 pieces of advice would you give to our clients regarding their event marketing?

1. Be organised. Iron out your event schedule early, create an action plan and start planning. You will save yourself stress, time and money.

2. Be clear about your objectives and align your event marketing strategy accordingly.

3. Measure your results. This will help you outline areas needing improvement and justify your event marketing investment.

Q: Skyline have been running Eye Power exhibitor education seminars for 18 years. Why do you think it is still so popular today?
A: I think Eye Power is still so successful because it encompasses core event marketing principals with evolving tips and trends. It is the only program of it’s kind and seems to resonate well with both new and experienced exhibitors.

Q: In your opinion, what makes Skyline stand out from our competitors?
A: Ultimately I think it is the support we offer our clients. Display companies are a dime a dozen but when things go wrong 99% don’t care. Our team bends over backwards for our clients and feels invested in their trade show performance.

Q: And finally, what do you enjoy doing when you aren’t at work?
A: I enjoy spending my Summers enjoying Queensland’s beautiful beaches. Spending time with my husband, family, friends and most importantly, my puppies.
